At Fossil Butte National Monument, the fossils of Fossil Lake are among the most perfectly preserved remains of ancient plant and animal life in the world. Detailed exhibits tell of this remarkable story that continues to unfold among the sagebrush and wildflowers of Wyoming. Located 15 miles west of Kemmerer in southwestern Wyoming.
